BART Rider Thank You Day Returns

Dear Friends,

Its time again for our third of four Fair Trade Certified “BART Rider Thank You Day” events! Tuesday, September 23rd volunteers from the Bay Area Fair Trade Coalition will once again descend upon BART’s six busiest stations to hand out 50,000 coupons for Fair Trade coffee and tea.

This time the deal is sweeter not just for commuters but for the world’s tea farmers with the introduction of Fair Trade Certified Numi Tea to all of Tully’s stores. It’s also a sweeter deal for you with more volunteer treats, gifts and thank you’s than ever before.

As a volunteer you will receive:

- a $10 BART pass
- a $10 Tully’s Gift Card
- a stylish, limited edition Rider Thank You Day t-shirt
- and your very own, employees only BART logo hat!

These Rider Thank You Day events are a lot of fun and a huge success for our movement. In addition to the tens of thousands of people that we talk to about fair trade during the morning rush, we are reaching tens of thousands more in the morning and evening news coverage.

Our action is also serving as a model for other transit agencies around the world. When we showed the footage to our allies at the Fair Trade Foundation in the U.K. they snapped it right up! Next stop the London Underground?

Help us make this the biggest and best BART Rider Thank You Day ever. Volunteer today and spread the word to your friends, family and neighbors. Please contact jguzzi@transfairusa.org for more info on how to volunteer and pass along the following message to all of your Bay Area networks.

Thanks again for choosing Fair Trade!
Jamie
